National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) has reached a major milestone as 2018 marks its 15-year anniversary. Formed in 2003, NCSAM is a collective effort between the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), the U.S. Department of Homeland security (DHS), and additional organizations to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and individual cyber hygiene. Over the past 15 years, NCSAM has gained massive support from many unique organizations throughout the United States and globally.

This month, Futurex once more takes on the role of being an NCSAM Champion to promote this very important topic. Champions are companies, non-profits, and individuals that dedicate themselves to promoting a safe and secure internet. Futurex understands it is crucial for everyone to keep their information secure. Please join Futurex in continuing the NCSAM’s theme of “Our Shared Responsibility”, which advocates that keeping the internet safe is a shared effort and that we all must do our part to protect each other from threats to cybersecurity.

This year, The National Cyber Security Alliance has provided weekly themes that you can discuss and promote during the month of October.

NCSA Weekly Themes:

NCSA Week 1 – Make Your Home a Haven for Online Safety

NCSA Week 2 – Millions of Rewarding Jobs: Educating for a Career in Cybersecurity

NCSA Week 3 – It’s Everyone’s Job to Ensure Online Safety at Work

NCSA Week 4 – Safeguarding the Nation’s Critical Infrastructure

Visit https://staysafeonline.org/ to learn more about each weekly theme and the importance of maintaining a high standard in cybersecurity.

Futurex is proud to do our part to promote the core message of National Cyber Security Awareness Month and contribute to greater information security around the world.
