Futurex has become a Data Privacy Day 2020 Champion in support of Data Privacy Day, a global event on January 28th, 2020 that recognizes the value of protecting privacy, data, and trust. As a Champion, Futurex stands with the belief that all organizations must be accountable as diligent keepers of personal information.
Data Privacy Day is part of a campaign put on by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) that promotes awareness of the importance of privacy, features simple ways to protect personal information, and reminds organizations that privacy is beneficial for their businesses. The NCSA is encouraging everyone to “Own Your Privacy” by learning more about how to help protect online data, starting with updating personal online privacy settings. Futurex joins the growing number of organizations from a variety of industries that are working toward the common goal of raising awareness of privacy, data, and trust.
Futurex is committed to data and privacy protection. Futurex’s only business is in designing, architecting, manufacturing, and supplying hardened data security solutions. Our technology is trusted by some of the largest organizations in the world, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement of our solutions and advancement of the regulatory compliance standards they help fulfill.
About Data Privacy Day
In North America, the Data Privacy Day initiative is officially led by the NCSA, a nonprofit, public-private partnership dedicated to promoting a safer, more secure and more trusted internet. Data Privacy Day began in the United States and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe. Data Protection Day commemorates the Jan. 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection. NCSA, the nation’s leading nonprofit, public-private partnership promoting cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness, leads the effort in North America. The Data Privacy Day initiative is made possible by generous support from our sponsors and is advised by a distinguished advisory committee of privacy professionals.
